Guest guest
HFA means high functioning autism. There is still some debate about whether HFA and AS are the same thing. NLD has many aspects of AS. Tony Attwood refers to a continous line from LHA to HFA to AS to NLD (to ?). At some point the diagnostician picks a point on the ASD line and declares a diagnosis. Given the rise in ASD, I'll bet soon someone will come up with another label that's like NLD, but milder. HI > Joyce, what's HFA? I have a son who I first thought was AS, but have since > learned enough about non- verbal learning disorder that I have no doubt > what -so- ever this is it.
