Guest guest
To the original poster of this question.I just wanted to encourage you to try the diet. I have been thinking alot about what you have written and I can see you have done research and are searching as we all are for an intervention to help our child. Maybe the kids that respond to the diet should have a diagnosis that better fits the condition, but we dont. When we try this we are all just parents who have been told our kids have autism, we research, read, and somehow come across the gf/cf diet and since it can do no harm we try it. It works for a large number of us and our kids benefit greatly. Could the behaviors be due to an underlying condition science has yet to name? It could, but you wont know if your child will respond unless you try. It can be difficult to allow yourself to get your hopes up again, to try something new again because we all fear that what we are trying wont be successfull, but again you could succeed , your child may get better ,like so many of our children have, and its worth the risk just to know if your child will be one of the responders to the diet. I wish you much luck on your journey to save your child.
