Guest guest
Hello, I've been lurking and posted twice. I appreciate this group so much and have valued and needed its support even though you didn't know it! I have a pressing (the doctor is calling me back today) and important question I was hoping some of you may help with. I am 17 weeks yesterday with my second pregnancy post-op (my first I lost at 7 weeks in 3 years ago). I had a lap RNY (gastric bypass) December 2000 and a revision (I had an intestinal blockage) in March 2002. I am 31. I am an elementary school computer teacher so I am on my feet all day. I haven't been at work for 12 days (this is 12). My doctor does not know what to put in my disability papers stating as a medical reason. I have a supplemental disability insurance as I am a State employee so its a bit different paperwork than he is used to. In any event does anyone have any suggestions on any " medical " reason he can put in as a reason for me to be " out " so early? I mean I have to eat every two hours and then for the next hour hope it stays down. I've been on Zofran (sp?) this whole time to keep things " down " . With a lot of other jobs I could handle eating every two hours and then sitting and working through the next hour of feeling like yucky but elementary school teaching does not afford me the ability to eat and feel awful--or heck even go to the bathroom whenever I need to! Any suggestions? THANKS!!!
