Guest guest
My son takes the Cod Liver Oil form Kirkman's which is fishy tasting if I put 3 drops of stevia in it first, give it to him fast, and immediately give him one of his good tasting chewable sulpplements that he likes. Its worked for me. Its overwhelming trying to get ALL this stuff down our kids, isn't it? Lori

Guest guest
According to Megson, the Vit A that is helpful is the cis-retinal form of Vit. A. Synthetic A is in the trans configuration. CLO supposedly is high in the cis form. Dr. Megson's dosage recommendations are: Age Groups - Vitamin A 2-5 years old - 2500 IU 5-10 years old - 3750 IU over 10 years old - 5000 IU Only the beta carotene form will not collect in harmful amounts. This is the plant form and the body does not convert it to vitamin A unless it needs it. All other forms can collect. So yes, you do need to add up the vitamin A from ALL sources for the day's total, except beta carotene. Hope this helps, . > There was much emphasis put on giving our kids cod liver oil at the DAN > Conference, however noone spoke about the dosages for our kids. Does anyone > know? My son is about 50 lbs and 7 years old. What about the vitamin A in > the multi vitamins - does that amount get reduced from the clo recommended > dosage? > Thanks >
