Guest guest
Well I've seen just about every other doctor from my RNY surgeon, an Endocrinologist, dietician & maternal fetal medicine but my OB office waits until 10 weeks for 1st appointment. SO today was it. My OB ROCKS. He is VERY supportive and encouraging. He is well aware of my recent RNY situation & confident we can make a healthy go of this prenancy with close monitoring. I said to him - I know this is early but we have to start thinking of other things we can do for the Glucose test, becasue I can't take that now that I've had the bypass. He says - Okay, that is no problem - we'll get you hocked up with the diabeties center & they can give you a monitor to check your sugar levels at home. That is what we would do if you did have GD so we'll go that route. Easy As Pie! I was so happy there was no fight over that. I also asked him what was the safest thing stronger then regular tylenol that I could take for my gallbladder pain & he cave me Tylenol with codine pills. I think I am going to get the elixer from my surgeon though because that workds faster & I can take less since it is already in liquid form it doesn't have to break down. On another note - I think I am almost a member of the century club! I'll know for sure Friday - I only use my surgeon's scale for " official " weigh ins since scales can vary do much. But if my OB's scale is right - I am right there! Happy Tuesday
