Guest guest
I am 22 1/2 weeks with the same large upper hernia near the top of my incision and so far it has not given me any problems and I am praying it stays that way. The pain you describe though sounds like the umbilicus hernia I had the year prior when I had my gallbladder surgery. I was like right above my navel and i could actually see it move. It was quite painful sometimes and I knew that one was there. Thats not saying thats what yours it but thats an idea. COuld also be baby pulling something there, the muscles in your stomach stretching, ect.. I hope this gets better for you. God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
Before I call the doctor's office, I thought I would throw this out to you ladies... I'm almost 2 yrs post-op, 23 weeks pregnant, and have a rather large hernia (located near the top of my incision site)...What could cause a sharp, pulling pain around my belly button? Guest guest
Jacque, I'm thinking that it is probably your uterus stretching and pulling. I had all sorts of pains that were attributed to this and it was in different areas. Confirm this with your doc, but I'm pretty sure thats probably what it is. Axelrod Odd pain... Guest guest
I'm not any doctor but terrible gas pains sent me to the ER a week ago. These were all around my tummy and when they hit me it was like I felt like throwing up - but didn't. When I tried walking the pain would stop me dead in my tracks so the OB said I should go to the hospital to rule out miscarriage or anything else. This was on a Sunday night. How embarassing to find during the ultrasound that I had large pockets of extremely painful gas that would pass out. I was also relieved everything was okay. The pain came and went about every 10 minutes. If I were you I'd CALL YOUR DOCTOR and discuss it - it's never a stupid question. Hope this helps. 12 weeks EDD 10/3/04 GBSurgery on 5/6/03 -90 lbs. > Before I call the doctor's office, I thought I would throw this out > to you ladies... > > I'm almost 2 yrs post-op, 23 weeks pregnant, and have a rather large > hernia (located near the top of my incision site)...What could cause > a sharp, pulling pain around my belly button? > > Jacque > EDD 7/20/
