tracy,

i would love to know this too! i have an NT baby, almost 1.5 years old. his

brother is the PDD-NOS one and he's 5.5. anyway, i have an appointment at the

end of april with dr holmes. maybe i'll ask if we can run a peptide test on

the baby just for comparison because we're all going to the appointment. does

anyone remember how much that one costs? the baby is not GFCF so he'd be a good

example. they're also both boys and the incidence of ASD is higher for males.

the only difference in their medical histories is no vaccines for the baby so

far.

i'd love to know if anyone else has done this too.

I think it was just $99.00. I remember thinking it was fairly

inexpensive--in relation to everything else in Autism.

Hi all,

I did the peptide test from GPL with both kids last summer. ASD son was on

the diet (3 months) and his casein was fine and gluten a little high. NT

daughter was not GFCF and her casein and gluten levels were 12 and 20 times

" normal " . I have spent a lot of time thinking about this. Does she have

trouble digesting the proteins, but she doesn't have the leaky gut that lets

them out to do damage? Is she on the verge? Could some immune or gut insult

put her over the edge? I took her off milk last summer but I haven't been

able to pull off the gluten free with her yet. I think she is less sensitive

and more calm off milk, so we'll stay that way.
