Guest guest
Please offer advise, help if you can. I am going into my 13th week of pregnancy tomorrow (baby measures one week more than that) and I'm totally exhausted!!! I mean - I know our bodies are working overtime but I thought I'd get that jolt of energy around this time. I sleep 7 - 8 hours a night, sometimes more, and take a nap when my toddler does that lasts around 2-3 hours a day. I'm just so tired like I feel like I just finished a marathon. My last blood tests showed all of my levels were okay but I was sick after that with a sinus infection. I now take Zyrtek at night and Flonase spray for allergies. I started taking 1 to 2 over the counter iron pills a day just incase my iron had gotten low and take 1 prenatal Nutranate on most days. I'm eating very healthy meals. If you've experienced this exhaustion during this time in your pregnancy please let me know how long it lasted and what you did to help get over it. Thanks! EDD 10.3.04 1 son Cole - 3 years old May 6, 2003 - GBP 250/now 160 I have not gained any weight yet - only lost 10 lbs due to nausea in the first trimester. Guest guest
> I am going into my 13th week of pregnancy tomorrow and I'm totally exhausted!!! , I know EXACTLY what you mean! I am 12 weeks pregnant and have been exhausted for a while now. After work, I come home and have absolutely no energy! One night last week, I cooked dinner and I was so worn out by the time that I finished that I told my husband I wasn't cooking again until I got my energy back. I agree with Jacque, it was not like this with my other two pre-WLS pregnancies, even when I was obese. I thought it had to do with my low B12 levels, but apparently not. I haven't had morning sickness at all, which I wasn't expecting this time around either, but this extreme fatigue is getting to me. I'm going to mention it to my OB/GYN tomorrow at my 12 wk. check-up, but I'm not expecting him to be able to help much. So, for now I guess we just grin and bear it and try to rest as much as we can!!! EDD#3 10/11/04 RNY 12/11/01 294/

Guest guest
, Thanks for your post. I guess it really helps me to know that all of the people that answered about this exhaustion thing - I AM NOT ALONE! I just wonder if it's my age (36) and the WLS combined. I'm also taking care of my 3 year old but he's pretty good at helping me out now so it's not like another infant. I pray that we all get a good span of energy soon! Thanks for everyone's reply on this subject and - let me know what your doctor suggests. I don't have my next checkup until April 14 - and I thought I might have blood work done up then to see if anything was out of whack but my bloodwork has always been perfect so I'm not really counting on that! Best wishes, Too tired to write more! LOL > > > I am going into my 13th week of pregnancy tomorrow and I'm totally > exhausted!!! > > , > I know EXACTLY what you mean! Guest guest
I was soooo exhausted in the first months of my pregnancy. I was able to make it to work but slept all weekend long. My hubby gave me grief about having to take care of our difficult 3 year old by himself. Man did he feel guilty when we found out I was two months pregnant! Anyway, I am 18 weeks and just starting to have more energy. Don't get me wrong, I still fall asleep by 9 p.m. every night but now I actually cook dinner and play with my daughter before her bedtime. I really think the extra vitamins I take have helped too. So to everyone out there struggling, it does get better!! Now if I could just get over the whole " I don't wanna gain weight! " thing, I would be a happy camper. Guest guest
Tracey, I don't know how you do it - and on your feet all day too! I really applaud you and I know your clients do as well. I couldn't imagine having to work like that all day - because what you do is really exhausting work - or so I think. May will be here before you know it - thanks for your reply.
