I have Kaiser ins for my son [not me.] Any tips welcome. I have a referral

to see a Neurologist MD. I wonder how long that will take.

Is an allergist a good idea? What do you :ask " for? explain all the Feingold

and GFCF stuff and ... ask for anything in general?

thanks; we have no dx other than mom fitting dc into the various traits

lists.

[private email always welcome/preferred, as I don't download digests as files]

JoyceW, So Calif, divorced, work FT, Homeschool TWTM,

5y7m old son, Aspergers/SID, no formal dx yet , but Mom's observations....

Feingold diet www.Feingold.Org. ; considering GFCF

Joyce- which Kaiser do you go to in S.Cal? I have Kaiser and the neurologist

I saw only wanted to give drugs- never heard of the relationship between

autism and leaky gut syndrome. Kaiser doesn't usually have their own

pediatric neurologists; they contract with an outside hospital. The doctor

we saw was the head of Pediatric Neurology at Children's Hospital, a real

big shot and a total &%@?#$?. I would of as soon talked to him about diet as

told him I was a martian.

Get an outside doctor who is familiar with autism......then they prescribe

tests and if you are lucky kaiser will do some. If you dont do it this way it

is too hard and not fast enough.
