Guest guest
I'm in Sacramento and am having to educate (with my very limited knowledge) EVERYONE I'm coming into contact with down at the Kaiser clinic. I gave up on the dietician who claimed to know everything about leaky gut, yet insisted that ate better than most children his age and that he doesn't even need a daily vit suppliment. *sigh* My son's pediatrician (NP really) has been asking everyone she can think of, including the specialists and those who 'should' know, if we can get a Peptide test. They have no idea what she's talking about. She's not sure if she can prescribe outside of the Kaiser system but I think she assumes that if I get the info then their lab can follow up and make their own test?? I think it's time to change insurance companies. Jeannie JoyceW10@... wrote: > > blood? or what: also, will Kaiser HMO do this test? what does it show? Guest guest
n posted last week about the best places for this test. It is a urinalysis test that shows whether casein and/or gluten opioids are circulating in the body. I don't think any insurance covers it as the opioid theory isn't mainstream med and there doesn't seem to be a standard or norm for the results. Ian's test results pushed me into gfcf, but I later learned that the lab I used is not state of the art and the results may not have been accurate. However, the withdrawal period and improvements on the diet really proved to me, more than any test could, that we needed to be gfcf.
