Not getting personal messages

I am still unable to get personal messages. do I need to enter my aol

personal email address? I go to yahoo.com and enter my id and

password and all I get to are the group emails. I have sent replies

to persons answering my postings, but have gotten no replies. Or I do

not know how to retrieve them. I did not receive any email on how to

do this. I did put on my profile that i wanted to receive individual

emails.Please help if you can. Thanks Carmen.
