Guest guest
Just going from the Source Naturals label, each tablet has 750 mg of MSM, 125 mg of Vitamin C, and 60 mcg of molybdenum. So it sounds like you should be fine in terms of molybdenum supplementation. I've been on prescription prenatal vitamins for a long time, and they have very few ingredients, so they don't have molybdenum. I responded quickly (within a day or two) to the MSM (and noticed increased pain and stiffness within a day or two of changing to a no molybdenum brand), but I have relatives who used it for a week or two before they saw a response. My 80-year-old godmother started using it - she had been VERY lucky to fall down a full flight of stairs, and only hurt her back and hip (no fractures), so she was taking one or more Advil each day. Now she takes only one or two per month, when she knows she'll be especially active. She's taking two of the 750 mg MSM from Source Naturals each day. My 79-year-old aunt also takes it, and she has severe osteoarthritis all over, especially in her knees, but is still able to walk up the stairs no problem. I'm not a medical doctor, but I have a lot of older relatives who have been helped by it, in addition to myself. You can imagine that it's nice to be pain-free at 80, but I am in my 30's with three kids, so having my arthritis pain under control is the difference between complete disability and mobility for me when it's an absolute requirement. My mito is greatly served by very aerobic exercise, osteoarthritis is helped by exercise as well, but I need to overcome both arthritis pain and any non-strenuous exercise to be able to get an improvement.
