Guest guest
Hey all: Does anyone have a flexible spending acount through their job? We have this as a benefit at our job and I use it. I am wondering...if I have prescriptions for the supplements that we use, could I get re-embursed for this expense? BTW...flex acounts are money that is taken out of your paycheck, pre-tax, in this case to be used for medical expenses. I also use the daycare flex acount and do not pay tax on money I spend on daycare. If anyone does use this program to get re-embursed, could you e-mail me privately to discuss how you went about it? Thank you so much. tamara_b73@... Guest guest
My husband has this type of account through his work and I contacted the company in writing and asked many questions about supplements, gf/cf food products and they responded to me in writing so that I have it documented. Every time I submit the claim form I send a copy of their letter since they seem to have new people working there all the time. This saves you the hassle of receiving a denied claim and them from having to do extra work. Also, our doctor wrote a letter stating that my child needs to be on the gf/cf diet and the supplements are helping. It is working out just fine.
