MSM and molybdenum

Any idea roughly how much molybdenum should be added, say per 1g MSM? I

already take a high-test multivitamin that has 208 mcg. moly, i.e. 277% DV,

and I'm thinking that might be sufficient to offset the depletion effect you

mention.

To answer another question (was it Dolores?) I have a big bottle of 1g. MSM

(no moly) caps from Spring Valley (the Walmart store brand I think). I don't

recall exactly but I'm sure it was real cheap, like maybe $3-4 for 90 caps.

That's wierd, that just one brand of MSM would work for you. I've

experimented with supplements, but each experiment needs a fairly long

stretch (weeks?) with as little OTHER variants as possible (like, ESPECIALLY

no other supplement change). I find there's so much " noise " in the

experiment, e.g. what and when I eat, when and how much I sleep, what kind

and duration of exercise, even the weather, ETC. that I wonder about my

" results " . Not sure I'd have the patience to try multiple brands of

something. When I get desperate (re some symptom) I'll try several

supplements at once, and if I think I'm getting some relief I'm very loathe

to remove one of them at a time, to learn more. For example, CoQ10 AND

acetyl-carnitine seem to be helping me a lot with a certain light-headedness

after only mild exercise, so I'm sticking with it. The only variant of this

I've tried is substituting plain carnitine, which only brought back the

symptom.

Anyway, my latest headache problems seem more like a spinal problem,

whiplash style including sitfness and pain from certain neck movements. So

I'm going to re-try MSM to see if it helps (a la joints). If my doc's office

would either closely look at or send to me the radiology report of a

cervical MRI I had five weeks ago, I wouldn't be wondering and experimenting

so much (PERHAPS), but that's another story.
