Guest guest
Laurie and RH, I have heard different things from different people. Most of the people I heard from all said that Dr. Shoffner said to stay on the supplements because it doesn't make a difference. Only about 2 or 3 people I know or spoke to said that he wanted them off of the supplements for a week to a month. I wonder if he has gathered information (through the years) from the biopsies that may indicate that staying on the supplements do make a difference(in the results or the % of activity) and is now suggesting at least a week or so off of them. Or maybe he is going on a patient by patient basis according to their medical records, how many inconclusive biopsies they have, etc.... Just a thought.... To me this would be a hard decision to make. It makes no sense to take yourself off of the supplements if they are indeed working for you b/c you will end up in a metabolic crash. But yet if you need a biopsy you would certainly want the best possibly results so that you wouldn't have to have another biopsy done.
