Guest guest
Hi, I would like to comment too. My son was first sent to a neor. We have two in the East Bay, both at Walnut Creek Kaiser. It takes about 6 months to get an appointment. When I was willing to try some meds for sleep etc, we were sent to a pscyh doctor. She is really great, and willing to try anything, diet, meds etc. We also found a great behaviourist thru reginal center ( I know shocking !!) We still have many hurdels to meet, but we are at least getting some support. My husband and I get very depressed over a lot of this stuff. Bev in NO. I have Kaiser and the neurologist I saw only wanted to give drugs- never heard of the relationship between autism and leaky gut syndrome. Kaiser doesn't usually have their own pediatric neurologists; they contract with an outside hospital. The doctor we saw was the head of Pediatric Neurology at Children's Hospital, a real big shot and a total &%@?#$?. I would of as soon talked to him about diet as told him I was a martian.
