Saw OB about swelling in Panni area

I totally forgot to post about this yesterday. I saw my OB on Monday about this

weird swelling going on in the panni area and he said that it is very common for

women who have this hanging apron of skin. He told me that the swelling will be

there till the baby is born, thank God I just have till April 22nd! He says my

swelling isn't too bad, he has seen some that are just huge and if he has to do

a c-section on these women that once he cuts into them fluid just gushes

everywhere. The only way to try to keep the swelling down as much as possible

is to lay down and he wants me to try to lay down at least twice a day because

the kidneys will process better during the day. I don't know about that because

it sure does feel like the kidneys are working over time at night since I'm up

all the time going! LOL! Hopefully if this happens to anyone else they won't

be as shocked as my husband and I were, especially since I'm not swelling

anywhere else. It looks like I'm carrying a football under my basketball, LOL!

It is a bit uncomfortable when it is really swelled up, almost burning, and it

makes wearing pants uncomfortable, but not impossible.
