Low weight gain

The fact that I have only gained 6 lbs during my 5 months of

pregnancy didn't particularly worry me or my doc. Now that I know

we're having twins, I'm getting a little worried about only having

gained 6 lbs.

The Ultrasound showed two healthy babies growing at a perfect rate

and my ob says this means they are getting what they need from me.

He did say he is concerned about my health, however. He feels that

because I initially lost 10 lbs during my first trimester and have

only gained 6 of them back, I'm probably still losing weight from my

body as the babies and their surroundings are gaining. He said he

wouldn't be surprised to see me only gain up to 20-25 lbs throughout

my pregnancy and walk out of the hospital weighing less than I did

when I became pregnant.

Thing is that now he feels I should be eating more often and taking

in more calories. For about the past two weeks, tho, when I eat it

feels like my early post WLS days. I eat a couple of tablespoons of

something and I feel uncomfortably full, even soft foods like beans

or cereals. Forget dense proteins these days. Not only can I only

handle only 1-2 ounces of meat, but I also can't physically stand the

textures or tastes.

I guess what I'm getting at with this long and boring post is this...

What has been the weightgain and eating experiences of those of you

who are post-wls and carrying/have carried multiples? I'm hoping I'm

right on target here, but those itty bitty 6 lbs have got me worried.

Thanks,

Toi
