Guest guest
Dear Judith, Yes, you may scream, but only if you can find a way to do so without frightening the children. LOL I totally get your frustration. At what point did Insurance companies begin ruling the world and our lives? Hang in there and keep fighting. Conny, 's great aunt > I WANT TO SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > saw Dr H the week of Thanksgiving at which point she said he > was ready to start GHT and she would take care of the paperwork. By > the time January rolled around she still hadn't done the paperwork > and I was calling her office every day (poor Ydira). > > Anyway, I guess they pestered her enough because she finally filed > the paperwork. I got a call from Single-point-of-contact who will be > supplying the GHT. They sent us a 30 day free started supply and > told me that they deal with the insurance company so I don't need to > do anything. > > I called them yesterday to find out how they are doing with the > insurance and was told that my insurance wanted additional tests and > that Dr H was contacted. Here come my screams: > > 1. Why didn't anyone call ME? > 2. I know these tests were NEVER run. > 3. Dr H has called nobody back and is leaving on vacation > 4. Because we are not yet approved, the supply company will send us > more GHT but not syringes. I need a prescrition called into the > pharmacy which no one at Dr H's office will do until they talk to > her. But, see point #3 > 5. I called Dr H's office twice today and the idiot answering the > phone (not Ydira) told me both times that she would speak to Dr H > when she was done with her patients - when, at midnight tonight? > > I am really worried that the insurance company will deny coverage > because Dr H's office was too busy etc. to take care of whatever it > is that is needed. I need to know if more bloodwork is required so I > can have it done. > > Anyway, thanks for listening, > > Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) twins turing 4 on > 2/4/
Guest guest
Hi Conny, I am at work right now, so I guess it would be ok lol You are also correct in your post. Whether or not it is RSS, you probably would do exactly the same things at this point. Can you come to the convention and meet Dr H? At least then you could get a conclusive diagnosis. Good luck, Judith, Steve, (RSS) and (non RSS) twins turning 4 on 2/4/
Guest guest
I don't know. Money is a big issue. I know that there are scholarships and everything. I just have to see about it. There is also an issue of who would come with him. We have to work out some things first. Screaming at work might get you some unwanted attention, by the way. Guest guest
Judith, I am having similar problems with the person you are speaking of. Her name is or Ananda. My son saw Dr. H on 12/11, and she ordered plenty of tests & prescribed Aromacin (like Arimidex) for my son, but she never gave me an actual prescription. Our endocrinologist here in Florida has never heard of Aromacin, and is willing to prescribe it for , but doesn't know the dosage, where to get it, how to administer, etc. I can not tell you how many times I have called there for his records & to find out the dosage. This girl calls me back periodically, says she will fax the records to me & the 2 doctors I requested her to fax to, and then doesn't do it. She finally did fax the records about 2 weeks ago, but I still didn''t know about the dosage of Aromacin. Last week she calls me back to tell me the dosage should be 25 mg, and I asked her to fax this information to the endocrinologist. Well she didn't do it, and our appointment was last week. Of course, I told the doctor what she said, but there is no way he'll prescribe something he hasn't heard of without getting it in writing. I am getting very frustrated myself! I even e-mailed Dr. H directly, but did not get an answer. Meanwhile, almost 2 months have passed, and my son still isn't on the medication which I hope can help him! I can definitely empathize with your situation!!!!! Kim

Guest guest
Pattie, My son is 10 years old, and Dr. H prescribed Aromacin, which is like Arimidex, but I understand a bit stronger? He has been in adrenarche since the age of 4, but we haven't gotten any doctors locally to recognize this.
