hi everyone!!

havent posted in a while its been a little crazy here, everyone was

sick with that stomach bug and then we had a death in the family. my

14 yr old cousin passed away very tragiclly! i know this is not rss

related but i just needed to talk about with people that i consider

very close friends. my uncle found him in his room, he had hung

himself in the closet. they are now thinking it was an accident.

kids are doing some stupid things now to get a rush or high. they

hang themselves or choke each other. needless to say something

happened while he was doing this and he choked to death. i dont mean

to upset anyone with this depressing news but my uncle and step-aunt

got to wrapped in there own problems and werent seeing the trouble

that there child was having with dealing with the problems at home.

(they also have 3 other kids) he was a good student and athlete and

well liked. he just started to spiral downward when things got

messed up at home. we all need to make sure that no matter how upset

we get or how bad things seem they really could be worse and we have

to remember not to lose track of what is going on with our kids

emotionally and mentally. and to get them help if they need it. i am

sorry to burden you all with this but i am just so upset and mad

that this wonderful boy has left us like this! just need to vent!

once again sorry and please give your kids a big hug and let them

know you love them!

Big hugs Jodie, your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. I

think we will all give our kids an extra big hug, it really makes

you think what your family means to you...

Jodie,

This happened to my brother's good friend's son just two weeks ago!

How eerie. I did not know about the getting high thing. Hmmm...

I'll have to tell my brother. was the same age as your

cousin. He lived in or near , NJ. Very strange coincidence.

Jodie-

I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. Thanks for reminding us of

the important things in life--our children and our families. Your

family will be in our prayers.
