Guest guest
First let me say, you should contact your OB/GYN for follow up. With that disclaimer out of the way let me just say I have been irregular my entire life up until I had gastric bypass surgery, and I have been " regular " now for a year. There are several things that could be affecting your menstrual cycle... 1. You could be pregnant. It is possible you ovulated again and conceived. I myself am a " miscarriage baby. " My mother had a miscarriage, and at the time they didn't do a D&C for several weeks post miscarriage. When my mom went in to the hospital for her D&C luckily they did a routine pre-surgery pregnancy test, because there I was...and the D&C was cancelled. 2. Your cycles could just be a little off and your body is in the process of regulating itself again. It could take a couple of months for your periods to straighten out and get on a more regular schedule again. 3. Stress really affects your regularity. Having a miscarriage in itself is very stressful on you and your body, and it sounds like you are pretty worried. This in itself is enough to cause your cycles to become a little irregular. Although I have nevered had a miscarriage, as an ER nurse I have taken care of many women who have had them, and we always advise women to follow up with their OB/GYN. I know it is confusing and frustrating, especially if you are trying to concieve or prevent a pregnancy. Try to relax and take care of yourself both physically and emotionally, and this will help your body straighten out your hormones and your cycles. Good luck and take care! Guest guest
Have you been using protection? It is possible that you might be pregnant again. I got pregnant using condoms after my first miscarriage -- which ended in my second miscarriage. But it is possible that you ovulated. It is also possible that it is going to take some time to get started and regular again after the physical trauma of the miscarriage. mailto: dferguson@... Guest guest
I had 6 miscarriages before my son was born. One time I did not have a period for almost a year. Talk to your doctor I know there is medication they can give you to help your period along. And....don't give up hope. Speaking as someone who knows.....it definately happens when it happens. I am sorry for your loss. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! New Baby Boy Swenson Due July 28, 2004!
