Can you believe I have only ONE picture of her clubfoot! Too sad! It was

only because it was so cold her foot was covered up.

We didn't know it was clubfoot until we went to the specialist at 1 month

old... the regular pediatricians kept saying mettatarsus adductus which I

and my brother in law had...

Is it possible to have mettatarsus adductus in only one foot? Anyway, it was

nice that she was " elderly " (as our second doctor referred to her) since she

didn't start with Ponseti until 6 weeks old. I'm also glad because even

though she was 3 months old when starting the shoes (before 0000 size shoes

and the redesigned shoe), they fell off a lot...

(Great Post ee!!) I too would have taken that advise had I been

given it / had I Known that our daughter would be born with CF. As it

was, it was a total shock and I was in such a rush to get her

treated, I didn't even take many pictures (she was in casts 4 days

after birth), and the ones I did take, I kind of hid her affected

foot. This was before I found this group, found out about the

condition and the Ponseti method...take lots of pictures, beleive me,

you will want them once her foot is corrected because if it is done

properly, you really will not be able to remember how her little foot

looked all turned in!!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy Leigh and we are happy you are

here, you will find out so much information from this group. Everyone

here is so supportive and has been right where you are!

Know that you have found the best possible treatment for your little

girl, ee pretty well summed it up. You have mentioned where you

are located so you will get some good advise on where to find a

qualified Ponseti doctor.

Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy!
