Guest guest
I did NOT do the triple or quad marker testing because of the high false positive and I am ssoo glad I did not. I know others who have it done and if they suspect a positive, even though it could be false, it ruins the enjoyment of the pregnancy because now they are stressed. I think it is all a personal opinion but if a person is not terminating a pregnancy then I see no reason to do it. Just my opinion though. I am glad you ahd a nice appt God Bless, Robin, NorthEastern, NY Age- 41 EDD- July 27th, 2004 IT'S A BOY!!!!!! Guest guest
My experience with the AFP test was bad with the first pg. It said that my daughter had Spina Bifida and so we went and had the amnio and everything. While stressed out!! She doesn't have Spina Bifida. I would have loved her no matter what. But my husband and I thought that we should be as prepared as we can be. With this pg. I had it done again. I was not going to. But with twins my dr, husband and I agreed to know what is to come. Well I was expecting it to come back with something wrong. It didn't. It came back totally normal. so I am glad that I had it done this time. With twins, I think my worrying has doubled also. So it was a very nice thing to have this confirmed. Whatever you do will be right for you and your family. I do know that my Dr. said that I did not have to have the amnio this time. I could have a 3d or 4d U/S to see something. So that is something that I would talk to your Dr. about too.
