Guest guest
I don't think they can ever really tell how . I was told they give or take a couple weeks when they measure and give or take a pound when they tell you in weight. I would try to not stress it either but i know it's hard. Guest guest
Michele, My son always measured small and he is now almost 7 months old and in the 90th %tile. I think he is making up for not getting enough in utero. My doctor had me do a total of 9 ultrasounds because of all my complications but in the end everything was ok. josie

Guest guest
Hello everyone! When will they start measuring me (around the tummy)? I am now 24 weeks and I wasn't sure at what point my doctor will start that. I have my 6 month check up on Tuesday next week and I am curious when they will do that! Thanks and have a great weekend, Ivy Kennedy 11/7/00 Open RNY, Dr. Baker in Fridley, MN EDD 8/22/04-- it's another boy! Big brother Jake is going to be 10 9/25/04. Guest guest
Ivy, I am 27 weeks tomorrow and went to my appt. on Friday and my OB hasn't started doing this yet to me. I was wondering when he was going to do it so my next appt. is in 3 weeks so I will ask then. Maybe all doctors are different and they don't do this. With my daughter 10 years ago, I had another OB and he did it but I can't remember when he started. I would ask if I were you when you go on Tuesday. Let me know what happens. Good Luck!! Guest guest
My doctor has been measuring the baby since 8 weeks. Since I am high risk due to medical issues and previous miscarriages I go every4 weeksfor an ultrasound. I am now 21 weeks -he has not yet measured my belly or anything but they always maesure the baby size. My baby always measures 3-4 days small buit that is actually consistant with what I know to be the conception date instead of the first day of the last period. They still will not officially change the due date though. I guess she will just come when she is ready wheather it is on the due date - before or after. Next time you go in ask the doctor is he has measured - maybe he just didn't tell you and if he didn't ask him if he will. Good Luck - Diane
Guest guest
I went to my OB appointment yesterday I am 34 weeks pregnant and for the first time the baby measure small it was around 32-33 My OB scheduled me for a ultrasound on Monday and I am SO NERVOUS I want everything to be ok- She said to me don't worry I am sure everything is fine I just want to check everything out ( ok but how can I not worry lol) So, I am looking for others that might be in the same boat and what happened etc. this is my 3rd pregnancy but my 1st post op my 2 boys were both over 9 pounds so I was always measuring a few weeks ahead..
