Guest guest
Hi everyone, Hope your day is full of sunshine and few clouds. I have a friend whos baby is on zantac already for acid reflux but she is still in a great deal of pain. I told her it could be all the soy in her formula, and the soy that my friend is passing thru her breast milk etc. My friend drinks soy milk. The baby also reacted to rice cereal and I had her read the ingredients--there is SOY IN THE EARTHS BEST RICE CEREAL. Okay, that angered me. (I cant understand why one of the most allergic foods out there is given to our babies--just like we are told to avoid eggs and milk in the first year, we should not be giving our babies wheat and soy either!) . Okay, I am calm now. So, for those of you, Terri B. and others, who have been researching formula, have you found anything that is a good alternative??? Does everything have soy or casein in it?? Anyone who can help, please help me. Thank you and much love,
Guest guest
I'm not sure how old this baby is, but my friend gives the following to her 10 month old baby. Its geared towards older babies eating solids. Supposedly you aren't suppose to use it as a sole source of nutrition. Anyay, its free of gluten, corn, yeast, soy, egg, dairy or stimulants. Its primary ingredient is rice. Its called Ultracare for kids and here is a website www.ultrabalance.com Hope this helps! a
Guest guest
I am Definately going to breast feed and be soy-free, casein and gluten free. I now know what to look for if she is intolerante to anyhting I ingest and will eliminate it ASAP. I am going to supplement ( if I need to ) with soy formula. There are some other formulas out there that require a Doctors perscription and it is CF,GF,SF. Aslo Alimentum is not quite casein free, but the casein is pre-digested. Also Nutramigen is corn-based. I found these at Walmart. Hugs, Terry.B
