Guest guest
Yeah my hunger started before I knew I was pg, but that was normal for that time of the month. I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one always hungry, or who could eat more than what I was before. Thank you for responding. Guest guest
Don't worry your appetite will probably decrease as your baby gets bigger and presses upward. I could eat a lot in my early pregnancy. Now I'm 28 weeks and cannot eat much at all without starting to feel ill and that pain I had when I first had my WLS. I swear that I can't seem to stay full. I'm not drinking with my meals, I'm getting in my protien, and if I don't eat, then I get really queasy and weepy and cranky. Ok, that being said, I also can eat way too much. Before I was pg, I had normal full feelings at my normal amounts. So, it started not slowly, but fast, one day I made my normal 2 eggs for breakfast, yes I can eat 2 eggs. Well, that didn't even put a dent in my hunger level. So I made 2 more, becaus eI figured, ok 1 bite and I'll be full, then I can toss the whole thing, this is just head hunger. Nope, ate the whole thing. And didn't have that ouch I ate too much feeling. I can also eat a whole ham sandwich(I hate ham, but apparently the food monster inside of me wants it on bread with mayo and swiss cheese and lots and lots of mustard. I can't get full at all if I don't eat this and the supplies are in the house). And sweets, keep me away from them. Apparently I don't dump, and this little food monster wants them all. I try to stick to a bite here and there of what my husband is having so that I don't go crazy, but I was working the other day and someone had donuts here, and all the willpower I've had since surgery went straight out the window, and I ate 3!! I was in shock. I mean it was throughout the day. Oh, and my weight has been wavering at 205, where I was when I got pregnant, to 203, where I've never been before pg, and to 206. So its not like my weight is jumping way up. Is all this normal?? First time mom worries. (Though I'm thinking that the hunger is a really really good sign that this baby is here to stay, lol) Oh yeah, my pants are too tight, and I can feel a little hard area, round ball like area under my bellybutton, though its more like a grapefruit than a ball, is this normal? Lots of questions, I know, but hey, more excitement now than spazzing. Guest guest
Kris, I'm 12 weeks right now and I went through something similar. Scared me to death! I wasn't eating large quantities, but I was ravenous all the time! Eating every 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It lasted for a few weeks and now has slowed a bit. I eat fewer times a day now, but at one sitting I can eat more than I used to pre-pregnancy... From what I understand, this is pretty common. Although it's hard, I've been trying to relax a little bit about this whole weight/food thing and enjoy the pregnancy. Listen and trust your body. It knows what it needs right now.
