Guest guest Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Dear Farmworker Health Colleagues: The NC Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA) is pleased to invite researchers to submit abstracts by May 8, 2005 for possible presentation at this year's 18th Annual East Coast Migrant Stream Forum, October 20-22, 2005, in Memphis, Tennessee. An abstract form is attached for your use. Begun by NCCHCA in 1988, the East Coast Migrant Stream Forum is an annual conference that provides health professionals training to facilitate quality health care delivery to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families living and working on the east coast. Through workshops and networking opportunities, attendees hear about the latest in clinical trends, farmworker-specific service delivery models, cutting-edge research, legislative and funding initiatives, and the latest farmworker health products and services. This year, priority will be given to abstracts that address the issues of mental health and/or substance abuse and others that demonstrate an innovative practice in expanding health care services to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in six key areas: 1) outreach/health education 2) lay health promotion 3) policy/advocacy 4) research 5) programmatic/administrative 6) clinical Please feel free to share the abstract form with your colleagues.
