Guest guest
I feel so excited. I just watched the tape of the Montel show(my sister taped while I was at work) and heard Dr. Kartinzel(sp?) say that the vitamin A/CLO helped his son decrease the peripheral vision. My son does that peripheral look at times and it does look scary. Have others found that the CLO decreases it? Do you have trouble getting your child to take it? Can it be hidden in something? I seemed to ignore the old postings re:CLO mainly do to sensory overload of everything else I was trying to learn. I am going to order some tomorrow. Guest guest
If you're talking about a goofy, sideways, tilty head kind of look, then yes, after several weeks of CLO it went away. Fortunately, my son is a pill-swallower (after a couple of gfcf months), so I just give him the Kirkman CLO in gelcaps. www.megson.com for CLO info. Read her congressional testimony for more specifics on the vision problems. > I feel so excited. Guest guest
Hi , I've been using Kirkman's CLO for about 3 weeks now. Can't say that I've seen any changes (my son does do a lot of visual/peripheral stimming) but I plan to keep it up since I know that it's good for him (and me and my other son as well). It is yucky fish tasting, but I've had no problem getting him or my other son to take it if we have a glass of juice ready (orange juice works great) and quick drink it as soon as he swallows. It washes the taste right away before you even notice it. (I do the same thing for myself). Good luck, Liberty Montel/Cod liver oil/peripheral vision > I feel so excited. Guest guest
Dr. Kartinzel(sp?) say that the vitamin A/CLO helped his son decrease the peripheral vision. My son does that peripheral look at times and it does look scary , Brett has been on CLO for about a year now. He used to do that " eye thing " , and I haven't seen him do it in over 9 months. He gets a gelcap of CLO (from Kirkman's) squeezed into his juice every morning. It smells " fishy " , but he hasn't ever refused to take it. Hope this helps! You can overdose in Vitamin A. The skin get dry, scaly and rashy. If you do CLO you should get Vitamins with no vitamin A or D. Kirkman's sells SNT with no A or D. That's what we use. Guest guest
- We had a " miracle " reaction to Cod Liver Oil in our son. He did a strange visual stim that I hated - it made him look freaky. We bought the Cod Liver Oil at Kirkmans labs after talking to Dr. Megson (she spoke at a conference we went to) - I described his visual stim to her and she said, " Give him the Cod Liver Oil and it will go away. " It was the first time somebody said something that definitive and it made me nervous, but she was right! We put the oil in his rice milk in the morning and he doesn't seem to notice it. I know that other families put in on the foods their children eat, but the food can't be to hot, or you can't cook with the oil since this will break it down. I think if you were to let GFCF toast or a waffle cool off a bit and put some of the oil on it, that might work. Good luck! Guest guest
My regular mom and pop vitamin store carries them. If you can't locate them, ask them to order for you. Mine does special orders all the time. BTW, these things are great, we've been doing CLO for over a year and have tried 'em all. This every 4 day dosing is so much easier.
