Guest guest
Hi there My son was diagnosed with PDD at 19 mos. It was very devastating for me and the rest of the family. I did all I could do for my baby he was accepted for early intervention. He goes 5 days a week There he gets OT, ABA, Special Educator. He also gets services at home 5 days a week. has come a long way. He has excellent eye contact, and now he's interested in people. He has some words but still isn't speaking like a child his age should be. All his behaviors( hand flapping, drooling, and spining are totaly gone. He can now entertain himself with toys. Gabe has constant loose bm's he was put on gfcf diet because of his loose stools. He was on the diet for 2 mos, I saw no change in his bm's or in his behavior. My question is Does this diet work for all the kids or is mine just different? I do believe Gabe has intestinal problems but I wont know for sure till he sees the GI specialist. I'm giving him immodium for his diarrhea which seems to work well when he's on it. I know my baby will get through this he is now 2 1/2 and has made a tremendous improvment and I believe it all has to do with the Early Intervention program.
