My wife and I are having a baby girl soon and we have found out that

she has bilateral clubfoot. We have heard that it is difficult to

find a carseat that accomodates the braces after the casts are taken

off. Any advice as to what works best and particular carseat brand

would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. Matt

Matt... You will not have a problem with your little girl in her carseat. My son

was in the Dennis Brown bar until he was 8 months old. His car seat was

still turned around and he fit in it just fine. His bar didn't hit the seat and

the width across can accomodate the brace. He was actually in the infant carrier

until the very end of his 8th month when we finally put him in the Britax

Roundabout and both seats were not a problem at all. Good luck with your new

little girl.

I've had no problem either - I think it has to do a lot with how big your baby

is...you know some are just big for their age.

Matt-

You shouldn't have a problem. My son was born at 10 lbs and 21 1/2

inches long with CF he went into the DBB at 9 weeks and was 16

pounds, we had no problem with the infant carrier or the regular car

seat.

You shouldn't have a problem, just try to get one with a wide bottom

to accomodate the bar. We used the evenflo travel system, tons of

room even with her using a 14 " adjustable bar, our daughter outgrew

the carrier at 6 mo's and we now use an Eddie Bauer car seat.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
