But he's a little shorter than he should be for his age and genetics. I found that there is a form or progeria where you get symptoms in adolescence. is not balding but is getting a middle-aged gut (not eating adequate calories either). If he has progeria you'll be able to knock me over with a feather. I don't believe he has it; neither does the doc. But mito is a diagnosis of exclusion so we need to exclude this. Guest guest
I hope you get some answers soon. I know how frustrating it is to travel the road of exclusion. laurie > Does your son look like an old man? > > Nope. But he's a little shorter than he should be for > his age and genetics. Guest guest
Hi , Sorry to hear that 's labs are off. The only thing I can think of is to call the Main # for Mayo and ask them who is covering the medical needs of Dr. Whiteman's patients. I am sure that he didn't leave all of his patients high and dry without someone to answer questions concerning medical problems, follow-up treatment, etc... Did Dr. Whiteman have an associate working with him? Do you have an email address for him? I can imagine why you are freaking out a bit. It gets so frustrating when we can't get the answers we need. Testing for progeria sounds strange unless he has some of the characteristics of progeria. Do you trust and like this physican? I hope that by getting in touch with Mayo as I suggested above will help you towards locating Dr. Whiteman. Guest guest
Ann-Marie, I won't go back to May without Whiteman. There's nobody at all there I'd trust. Thanks anyway. Mayo won't hand out his number. Mom to the two best kids in the world! http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/thomasandkatie __________________________________ Yahoo!
