Guest guest
YES, I guess you are so proud. Infect------- I AM TOO, PROUD OF HER!!! I am also very happy she got to go & it is as safe here as any other place-maybe more folks watching out about it her. Security here is very tight -quietly so though . Great news LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEv Morning Haven't posted for awhile, I think the last time was when I had guestions about Amber going to Florida with all of the SARS scare. Well I let her go and she had a blast, and I am so glad I did. What an adventure for her. They stayed on the Beach in Daytona, she could see the Ocean from her room. Her Drill team placed 14th out of 48 other teams, I guess last yr(before she was a member) they placed 2nd. The chaparones(ms) said she did her meds every day and always remebered her meds at meal time. I just told her before she left, if she didn't do her meds and came back sick she would never go again. I'm very proud of her!!! Margo ------------------------------------------- The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
Hi Pam! I have never had WIC before for my other two kids, but was astonished to learn that we qualify for it and will be getting it with this one. It is a great program! Let me know the kinds of things they ask at your appt., I'll be going there after my first OB appt. on May 21.
Guest guest
My daughter receives WIC. It is a good program and I like being on it a lot. We get milk. cheese, cereal, peanut butter, eggs for my little one. For babies they can get formula and later cereal. Ferguson Rasley mailto:dferguson@... Morning > Morning everybody! > Its been storming here for the last few days, and today there's a 70% chance of thunderstorms, so I think I am going to park my butt on the sofa and watch tv, maybe study a little, but that's it. I have an appointment on Friday to go get WIC, does anybody else get that for their kids? If your pregnant here you get like 4 free gallons of milk a month, like 3 packs of Bordon cheese, 2 dozen eggs, some juice, ect. And then when the baby is born, you get a case of formula a month, which we all know how expensive that stuff is! > Anyways, just wanted to check in and say hi, and that I haven't bled since Sunday Maybe its a good sign > > Pam > >
Guest guest
When we found out we were having twins, I hopped right over to the office. I plan on nursing, but supplementing with formula and I knew WIC would be a big help. We qualified with the twins, although when she first did the calculations with only one we were denied. Biggest problem is that they want me in more often because I have had insufficient weight gain (5 lbs total), and low iron. Oh well... I'll go get weighed and stuck more. They've been a big help. Guest guest
Pam Gotta love that rain!! It has been raingin here too it makes me even more sleepy than I already am!! lol I just wanted to let you know I am on WIC. Each month I get vouchers for : Cereal 36oz Eggs 2 dozen juice 6 46oz premade cans or 12oz frozen concentrate cans Cheese 2lbs Milk 5 gallons and a 1/2 gallon peanut butter 18 oz jar (you can choose beans instead of peanut butter if you choose) Once the baby is born I know that I will get a case of formula.. I had the powerder when my son was born!! I have never used the liquid.. so I am hoping when this baby is born I will get the powerder again! As the baby grows you also get cereal and you still get the vouchers as above if you are going to breast feed! They didnt really do much at my first appointment. I just had to weigh and they took blood to make sure my iron level was good. They had me write down a day worth of meals and we talked about it. I go in every 2 months and take a class when I go that lasts about 30 mins. The classes are all pretty different. My first class was on the importance of reading to your baby even when pregnant. My last class was on breast feeding! They are very informative! Thats pretty much it!! I know when the baby is born I will be re- evaluated and they will inform me of everything else that needs to be done.. Its been 5 years since I have been on WIC with a baby!! So hopefully it hasnt changed much!! I know the difference I see now is that it seems to be more organized!! Anyway!! Hope you get through the rainy days and I hope your WIC appt goes well!! Have a great Day!! 26w1d (I have lost 10 lbs since prego and seem to gain and lose the same 2 lbs now!! lol ) EDD 8-17-04 With baby Evelyn RNY 3-14-03 150lbs loss
