OT:Hearing hypersensitivity

Each time we treat my sons candida and we see improvement in behavior and

speech,we see an increase in hearing hypersensitivity. We can no longer use the

following while he his home without him closing his right ear and crying as if

in pain: microwave,air purifier even on quiet mode,vaccuum cleaner,hair

dryer,VCR rewinder,bathroom fan,connecting to internet noise,answering

machine,and kitchen aid mixer. Just tonight he cried while my husband was

outside with a generator running. He can now verbalize " Turn it off

please!!!!!!! " Of course I immediately turn it off and try not to use any of the

above. Is there something to help desensitize his one ear? He will now wear

headphones at school to listen to books so maybe we could try the auditory

integration therapy. Have others seen improvements with AIT? Thanks,
