Liberty, My son is one year on this diet and doing great - reading,

learning to print, can use a computer, does arts and crafts, etc.. I

never did any testing. I feel 3 months isn't really long enough to know

for sure. I did have LJ allergy tested though to make sure that I wasn't

giving him any foods that might hold back on the progress of this diet.He

is 6 years old and I feel this diet , along with his schooling and my

constant work with him all as a combo is why LJ is doing as well as he

is.

Good luck in whatever your decision.

Liberty, 3 months is not always enough time to see a lot. Sometimes it is

but not always. I stopped and starting with just the milk for a year before

I just went and done it. I did not think Evan really had a restricted diet

but when I got right down to it he did. Since your child is older, it might

take longer to see the results but if you don't do the diet, you will always

wonder. How do I know? Because that is the way we are. We are human and

we are always wondering 'what if'. We have never done the testing but

slowly we have seen improvement. Nothing dramatic but enough to know that

we will stay on the diet as long as I am able to make sure he has the right

food. Hopefully when that time is past, his mother will be able to take

over. That is something I worry about but do not dwell on. I am working

with the present right now and letting the future take care of itself.

Did you see Montel ? They had a pediatrician on the show whose child

became autistic . He found zero in medical books, but looked toward the

internet just as we are. He learned about the GF?\\CF diet which started his

child recovering. I thought this is a doctor who has also turned to the

internet and to treatments that are not widely accepted.

Even if you choose chelation or other therapies it is so much easier on the

child to be on this diet . They really do respond . If you need any ideas

for starting I would be glad to help.

P.S. I never bother with peptide testing the proof is in the childs

response. Also too broke. I would get rid of dairy right away no matter

what. Don't expect it to work immediately, after all it takes time for the

body to recover . Blessings.
