Hi all!

I am almost 7 weeks pregnant and I have an unquenchable thirst! I drink and

drink and drink water or Crystal light and it never goes away. I have never had

diabetes, on the contrary I have always had low blood sugar. This is my 3rd

child and I have felt horrible for the past two weeks. When I was pregnant with

my son, I had a UTI, could this be causing my thirst?

Thanks for any advice!

Me, me too! @ 8 1/2 weeks I'm also freakishly thirsty. I 'blame'

the raging hormones & our systems mobilizing to nurture the new

life. There's probably some info about that in some literature I

got @ my 1st appt, but the couch is too comfy right now. I'll

report what I find out, in the mean time: Cheers!!

I think your thirsty because your blood volume and everything is expanding to

accomodate the new life growing inside of you. Remember your blood volume

almost doubles when pregnant. I remember being very thirsty in the beginning

too.

I am thirsty now too at almost 30 weeks but if I drank whenever I wanted to I'd

be in the bathroom every 5 minutes!

I go through so much toilet paper now it is unbelievable! Between

going to the bathroom every 15-30 min. (wheather I drink or no it

seems like) and blowing the runny nose you would think there are 5

women living in my house. Preggo hormones sure have given the old

alergies a run this year and good god I certainly don't want to

sneeze with a full preggo bladder. - Diane
