Guest guest
Hi. I haven't posted much as I'm not pregnant yet - still trying to work out a few issues from my surgery before getting pregnant. One of my issues - hte heartburn/acid reflux one, seems to finally be getting better. I had an EGD done on Tuesday and the doctor couldn't find anything wrong, so hopefully I'll be able to get off my meds soon...he did say that I could take prevacid/nexium while I was pregnant, but he doesn't want me to take it in the 1st trimester. Anyway, the reason for this post is that I've been experiencing some symptoms of hypoglycemia recently - I get jittery, lightheaded and I start to sweat - which all goes away after I eat something with sugar in it. I looked up some information on hypoglycemia on webmd.com and sure enough, it says that some people who have had their stomach reduced, become hypoglycemic. What I'm wondering is, if this is true, will that make me be a high risk pregnancy when I do get pregnant? Has anyone else experienced this since their surgery? I'm really starting to get concerned about this. Thanks! Tracey VBG 3/11/03 245/
