Guest guest
Thanks , Actually I've listed below the foods that my son eats now and maybe you and any one else on the list can tell me what needs to go and what we can substitute (brand names if possible). Thanks. This will really help me to know where to start given what my son already likes to eat. He eats: Trader Joe's Chocolate Balance Bars (contain all kinds of stuff that we need to get rid of, but anyone know of any GFCF alternatives in protein bars -- this is a dietary staple for him) Mild Cheddar cheese (already took it out and don't bother with any substitutes like rice or soy -- he knows if I even switch brands of regular cheddar cheese and won't eat it) Pretzels Trader Joes Potato Puffs Trader Joes Organic Tortilla chips (just corn, salt, & lime -- I can keep these right?) Gorilla Munch cereal (I can keep this also, correct?) Bananas, apples, cherry tomatoes, kiwi, grapes, oranges, Puffed Kashi cereal (has wheat & other grains -- can I substitute puffed rice cereal?) He doesn't drink any milk and doesn't drink any milk substitute so we don't have to worry about that one. He mainly drinks Calcium Fortified organic orange juice Yoplait yogurt (I know dairy -- it's outta here. Are there any organic non-GMO soy yogurts that are good?) Any other snack foods? He likes most chips. He eats homemade french fries Scrambled eggs Turkey bacon Pancakes (which is the best gluten-free mix?) Hamburger meat sometimes carrot sticks He hates any bread and has never eaten it. I think that's it! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also, what do you recommend for a calcium supplement? Thanks, Liberty Re: GFCF - Should I try it again? Pre-testing? > Liberty > Did you see Montel ? If you can find it, there is a mix called Fearn's Brown Rice Baking Mix, but you can also go to a Health Food Store and you will see several alternatives, just check the labels for dairy ingredients! > > Hamburger meat Most should be fine, but I know sometimes " natural flavors " are added to meats, so you would be right to check with the manufacturer > > sometimes carrot sticks They're fine too! > > He hates any bread and has never eaten it. We use Nutrition Now CalciYums...they are like pieces of salt water taffy, are GFCF and delicious! > > Thanks, > Liberty
