Guest guest
I agree with alot of what wrote. I recently went to an all you can eat chinese buffet with my sister in laws family. My husbands family are all tall and thin of Swedish decent. My sister in laws daughter is involved in dance and is muscular but not fat at 14 years old. Her 2 brothers sit infront of the video games and tv all day long and literally these boys have breasts and probably outweigh kids their own age by at least 40 pounds.... What did my niece eat at the buffet - veggies, meats, a little bit of noodles and then about 4 fortune cookies.... What did the boys eat....One ate a whole plate of french fries, then a plate of white rice, then a plate of fried dough.... The other just ate french fries, egg rolls, and other fried crap. Now whose fault is that? Their mother was sitting right there...she could have said something to them - laid down some rules. Her house is full of crap food. Not that I am a saint.....we have only sugar cereals, ice cream, and cookies....but we also have whole grain bread, huge amounts of fresh fruit and veggies, lots of meats, cheeses, yogurts....I guess semi well balanced. My husband likes a treat every night after dinner and I never know what he'll go for so I have a bit of everything. My son doesn't eat meat at all. He eats spaghetti, mac & cheese, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, oatmeal, and a few other things. We put protein powder into his smoothies so he can have good nutrition... My son is 43 pounds at 4.5 years old and 49 inches tall. He is a bean pole. I think it has a lot to do with the parents who set the kids up for failure by refusing to parent....they are so afraid of having their kids be mad at them or the kid missing out on anything.... Ooops I am on a rant...sorry. Chrystal Wife to Jace - together 6 Years! Happy Mommy to - 4 Years Old! New Baby Boy Swenson Due July 28, 2004! Another one is somewhat stocky...she's definitely not fat at all, but if you look at her bone structure and how she's built, she's absolutely not " little " . She wears 6 regular pants...and they fit about right. the third is only 20 months old...so he's not thin or heavy, he's just 'baby'....but I can see him growing up more stocky already. Same parent...same food...same home....same rules. I think that when we're talking about people, it's always more complicated than we like it to be....there always seems to be more factors involved. And I don't think the parents are always to blame...or even usually to blame.
