I was the idiot who stayed 5 years in a physical/emotional/sexual abusive

marriage.

Just because I made marriage vows... DUH!!

That is where I am coming from.. :)

But then I also tell my current dh that I have no problem being a widow...

and prefer it to divorce.. ... and he believes me.. :)

I am sure he is a great father and husband... and evil parents who are cult

people will never let thier kids go.. and will always try to get them back in

the fold. WHY? Because in the eyes of thier fellow cultists.. the parents are

failures if thier children leave the " church " .

Seriously.. I would still make sure you OB knows and the hospital knows that

you are to recieve blood products if needed and that your husband does not

have the authority to make any medical decsions for you.

My fear for you is at that moment.. he could revert to JW. If he grew up in

the cult.. his brain WILL revert... and he can't help it.

Even if your father is not AT the hospital.. you can give medical power of

attny to him.. and the hospital can call him.

It ISN " T your hubby's fault... and brainwashing IS real.. .. and to many who

haven't been there.. they don't understand.

But.. this is YOUR body.. and if he gets mad... that is HIS issue to deal

with.. not yours.

Is evil MIL going to be there when you are in the hospital??? If she is.. she

will be your dh's voice of reason and will be pushing him to make the JW

decision.

If you and hubby attend a Christian church.. perhaps a meeting with the

pastor ?

Good thing this came up again NOW.... because at least you know you need to

take the needed steps to protect yourself. What if he never said anything and

the situation arose ... you may not be here to raise your kids.

He as the father would get full custody... and then under evil MIL urging...

he may end up raising the kids JW and your evil MIL would have way too much

influence ...

Then your parents would have to sue for grandparent rights to visit the

kids... but wouldn't be able to talk bad about JW.. since it is a recognized

religion.. and the parent has the right to raise the kids any religion they see

fit....

shh... best friend is a lawyer who does child custody cases... .. the

stories I hear are UNREAL!

I would also have a longggggggggg talk with your husband. Tell him

that he apparently can't have a good marriage as long as he's riding

his momma's aprons strings and now he is going to be a father

himself. It's high time he grew up and started putting others first.

I'd let him know that your health and the wellbeing of your baby

comes first and you are sorry that you can't trust him to be there

for you medically if something happens and you cant make decisions

for yourself. He (and his momma) really burn me up!
