Guest guest
My OBs said codeine (Tylenol 3 is acetaminophen with codeine) is okay during pregnancy. My problem is I cannot take codeine because it nauseates me. I just recently had another bout with kidney stones and so I used Darvocet-N 100. Each OB is different, though. Just was giving you my doc's advice to ME! Good luck and hope you feel better soon!! Guest guest
Is it really safe to take during pregnancy? My doc prescibed Tylenol 3 in my 1st trimester to take care of migraines. Well, the migraines suddenly went away and I never even opened the bag from the pharm that the prescrip came in... still sitting in the linen closet. Well, now I'm dealing with severe upper back and hip pain at night and am hardly sleeping. I sit in the recliner, I sit up in bed, I sit in the rocker, I sit on the sofa... I can never seem to find a place or position that is pain free and I know this is not as bad as its going to get with these little ones growing so fast. I've been tempted to take the T3 on more than a few occasions, but I always get scared and instead, suffer through the pain and more sleepless nights. Has anybody had any experience with taking T3 during pregnancy and more importantly, in the 3rd trimester? Toi
Guest guest
Does T3 Have Codeine in it? I believe it does but can't remember My Dr Gave me Cough Med with Codeine in it in my 3rd Trimester with My last pregnancy I was coughing so badly I couldn't even sleep laying down. and He wanted to get my coughing quieted. It made me more Hyper and also seemed to make the baby very active. She is a Healthy 5 year old Jenni ================ moderator note: Yes, T3 has codeine. Guest guest
Toi, Its better to be safe than sorry. Is it possible that you can just call your doc and ask him if its ok to take? Since he prescribed it in the first place, he might be nice enough to prescribe you something stronger if you need it. Unfortunately, my doc doesn't advise anything but Tylenol, so I can't advise you if its safe or not, sorry :( Pam
Guest guest
I had to have some dental work done around 20 weeks and both the dentist and my OB said I could take Tylenol 3. I took it one night and seemed to be ok.
