Guest guest
Ok now remember that I am very new at this diet. (one month) But.... clearly reacted to carrot juice! It was the most horrible day we've had since being on the diet. I had been extremely careful and she had been doing great. Then I gave her about 4 oz. of straight carrot juice...Odwalla's brand. Anyway, the next day was horrible! Stimming on everything, poor eye contact, echoing all speech. It was horrible! So I stay very far away from carrots for her...the phenol content! But that is just us. Maybe only my daughter can't tolerate carrot juice. Hugs, H, mom to 3 yrs, PDD; and 23 months
Guest guest
Hi The 's Classics Carrot/Orange fruit beverage drink ingredients are: Orange juice, carrot juice. That's it. And it says 100% juice always from fruit - never from concentrate - no preservatives - Ever. Hugs, Terry.B
Guest guest
Was it pure carrot juice by chance? Did it have oj in it too or apple juice? Big phenol problem there. I've seen some other juices like this and they add all kinds of stuff to them like wheat germ and whey powder--you probably would have noticed this though. Possible to react to just carrots though, I was just curious about what else was in it. If you've seen my son with apples (and he is not " allergic " to apples) you'd know phenol problems do exist--hahaha--this was like that .5% apple juice concentrate too, doesnt take much sometimes. Take care, Re: A really good Carrot / Orange juice > Ok now remember that I am very new at this diet. (one month) > > But.... clearly reacted to carrot juice! Guest guest
It was 100% carrot juice...nothing added. BTW I thought it tasted so very good. Poor baby...I was hoping it would be a way for me to get a veggie in her without her knowing. ) H
