Guest guest
Even if nothing in her diet has changed, it could be that the products processing has changed and a small amount of casein or gluten or soy are in the product. My son used to drink Better than Milk until I found out that they changed the process and it contained 0.25% of barley. Taken over a period of time it could affect the children. Once off of this we noticed a better change. Just a thought.
Guest guest
margaret, i don't know about specific schedules for withdrawal to pop up, but it sounds like a little yeast and bacteria overgrowth might be the problem. are you chelating her? sometimes, the chelation allows metals to sit in the intestines on their way out of the body and it triggers a lot of bad bacteria overgrowth. we had some similar hyperactivity in the evenings going on and found out it was bacteria related. do you do pro-biotics? have you had her tested for yeast? i also have a theory about eliminating foods from the diet (and i'll probably get blasted for this) but i think that once you start eliminating a few offending foods, other dietary intolerances come to the surface. maybe they were masked before under the worse intolerances to gluten, etc. have you tested for any other things like corn? i don't know if that makes them stimmy, though. also, a lot of parents do stuff in the evenings to promote calmness. magnesium is very calming and we give him his magnesium supplement in the late afternoon. there are epsom salt baths too, some parents report problems, but they help our child. i still think it's yeast or bacteria. we had a wild man in our house too! he was fine for months, then he started pacing in patterns, humming and squealing the whole time, jumping off chairs, banging his feet on the walls by his bed, etc. once we tackled the yeast/bacteria, it was quiet time again. just my thoughts- susan abney MMacGregor@... wrote: > Hi > > We've been gfcf since last November and soy free since Thanksgiving.
