Guest guest
Yes Alyssa, Barb Metcalf did work with Dr K. She is a very nice person and very helpful. You can meet and speak with her at the Rabkin support groups. I believe that is the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Guest guest
I was lucky, I did not have to have drainage tubes. As far as followup visists, I had one at 3 weeks, 6 weeks, will have one at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and a year. Then once a year just to make sure everything is still ok. Dotti > when should the drainage be pulled out?..and how often are the visitations?..mimi

Guest guest
Hello all. I do not post much on here, but do come by to read when I get a chance. My son is almost ten months old and wearing the dbb at night. My wife generally takes him to the pediatrician for check ups, shots, etc., and our pediatrician has made comments twice about how far his legs are spread when he is sitting up. He spreads them out a good bit wider than shoulder width apart. Compared to some of our friends babies, his legs are spread out more when he is sitting. He is trying to start crawling now (can only scoot backwards) and can stand up if he is holding on to something. I guess my wife and I were just wondering if any of you had heard this or experienced this as well. I am not that concerned (hope I should not be), just curious I guess. Thanks in advance! and Angel born 5-19-04 bcf
Guest guest
, this position is perfectly normal for 'our' babies. When you stop to consider the fact that most of these babies experience their 'firsts' (crawling, sitting up, standing) while in the brace, we can assume that this is the way that they do certain things because this is how they learned them. Besides, sitting with legs spread out gives much greater balance! Take care, Daiga and Owen, 02/04/03 LCF, FAB 14/7 > > > Hello all.
