Guest guest
I'm looking for the link someone sent to most of the hotels around the university. We're headed back in a few weeks and we'd like to try some place new. So if you have links please pass them on. We're also up for recommendations. Chris Love is not blind--it sees more, not less. Guest guest
Where have you stayed in the past? I can't say I've stayed at any of the local hotels, but I can at least let you know what's available. > I'm looking for the link someone sent to most of the hotels around the university. Guest guest
Here's a link to information on lodging near the hospital: http://www.uihealthcare.com/infofor/patients/lodging.html click on the Iowa City Convention and Visitors Bureau link at the bottom for info on hotels. Good luck and have a good trip! and Claire > I'm looking for the link someone sent to most of the hotels around the university. We're headed back in a few weeks and we'd like to try some place new. Guest guest
, We've always stayed at the RR/now Baymount because that's where the RMH has sent us when they can't get us in. We KNOW they won't be able to get us in because there are 5 of us this time so we're looking elsewhere. Chris Re: Iowa Where have you stayed in the past? Guest guest
There are a few places I would tend to not recommend. Those would include the is Park Inn (not a very good place) and Pull'r Inn Motel (22 miles away from Iowa City) from the list on the link A. sent you. I woul also not recommend the Big Ten on 1st Ave. in Coralville. My parents stayed there once when my older son was a baby and it wasn't very nice. The Travelodge on the list A. mentioned is rather removed from the hospital in a soon to be heavy construction area. If you were to have an early appointment, you'd likely have trouble getting out of their lot. The Heartland Inn is the closest hotel to the hospital outside of the RMH. They also have a shuttle to take you to the hospital if you'd rather not drive. I hope this helps some. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. > , > We've always stayed at the RR/now Baymount because that's where the RMH has sent us when they can't get us in. Guest guest
Hi Chris I'm in the Heartleand hotel right now - we went to see Dr Ponseti today. It is lovely - the shuttle service is great - a minibus leaves to go to the hospital every half hour and only takes 5 mins. The only downside is they don't have a highchair which we found a bit inconvenient with a 7 month old. there are plently of eating places nearby. breakfast and evening snacks included in the price. 24 hour tea/coffee available near reception and coffee making facilities in rooms. Travel cots and roll out (?) beds available too. HTH Stella > > , > > We've always stayed at the RR/now Baymount because that's where the > RMH has sent us when they can't get us in.
