Guest guest
hi paige!! christopher is now 3 but wheh he was teething it took forever too. he didnt get his first tooth until he was a year (he used to gum steak when he ate it) and then the rest slowly followed. he actually got his top front teeth first as well in stead of the bottom ones. none of his teeth came in at the age or in the order that the norm is. my ped said it is actually better for the teeth the longer they are in the gum. my first son was the same way he didnt get his first tooth until he was 9m. now my johnathon who is 9m now is getting tooth #3 in. i wouldnt fret about it all kids get them at different times. just mention it your ped if it will put your mind to rest (thats what i did with christopher). hope this helps. jodie (nicholas-5 nonrss, christopher-3 rss 23lbs 33 " ght genotropin .6, johnathon-9m nonrss)
Guest guest
Paige At 11 1/2 years old now, my Adam had delayed teeth as well. He was 13 months old when he got his two bottom centre teeth. Our dentist keeps a close eye on his teeth, and we are now in the process of removing baby teeth as the adult teeth come in. His first adult tooth came in when he was 10. His 6 year molars (baby teeth) were coming in while we were at the convention (he was almost 9 then). Seems his teeth came in bunches. He'd get a lot at once and then we would go for ages with none. It seems to be very common with RSS kids. If you go to the convention, there's a great dentist there who consults on the kids. Debby teething?? > hey has anyone had delayed teething? bradley got his 2 bottom teeth > at christmas and new years. he has no morew and nonwe comeing thru, > any help is appreciated. > > POaige bradley (rss, eczema, zantac, reflux, 13 months 20 p 29 1/2 > inches) > > > > >
Guest guest
Paige, BOTH of my kids had teeth that appeared slowly. By 14 months, they had only the two bottom center teeth and we called them " saber toothed babies! " They did look cute and I worried so much about when they would get the rest. But eventually they came in and we've gone the braces route for both and they have healthy teeth and happy smiles. One is 18 now (no RSS) and Max, as you know, will be 16 in a few months. It's kind of " funny " in a not-so-funny way. Here you are worrying about teeth coming in and here I am fretting over my 18 year old who just pierced her tongue!!! (We put our feet down on that one. She is not allowed to come home and will not get any money from us until that disgusting thing is removed!!!) Strange how things move in circles, huh? Jodi P.S. She told us while my husband was in the hospital with heart trouble. If he could take that news and survive, his heart must be stronger than we ever thought! Guest guest
Paige- I got all my my teeth late...baby and permanent. I don't know when my first tooth came in, but my 2-year molars came in at 3, 6-year molars at 7, and 12-year molars at 13. My first baby tooth didn't come out until I was 8 and I have pictures of me with a " 2 front tooth gap " from when I was 9. Thanks to overcrowding, my orthodontist had me have 15 teeth pulled...7 baby teeth from age 9ish to 13ish, 1 full set of molars in my early teens, and all 4 wisdom teeth the summer I was 20 (that was his goodbye gift to me. " You're all done with me Sharon but if you don't get your wisdom teeth pulled out, you're going to ruin all 11 years' worth of work we did. " What a sweetie, huh? ) -Sharon- Just an RSS kid who grew up 38Y, 1W 4'6.75 " , 94# (hasn't gone down but hasn't gone up either!)
Guest guest
Willie's teething was delayed compared to my non-RSS son. they thought it may be his delayed bone age.(??) He has them all now, at three, though. Kathy (Willie, age 3 , 22 lbs. 8 oz and Jack age 5, non-rss)
