Guest guest
I'd be careful eating anything acidic right after surgery (it did not sit well with me, and tomatoes are acidic), but after two months you should be able to eat just about anything. Guest guest
Hope soo.. I've craved tomatos since about 6 weeks postop. Pasta I'm only just able to eat- it swelled too much & made me uncomfy at first, but now its ok. I thinks its individualized, but yes, you can do Italian (thank goodness). Guest guest
Carole, I've been eating tomato sauce, usually in the form of " parmigiana " (as in veal, chicken, shrimp) since week three. Still don't have much space for pasta once I've " done " my protein, but the sauce has been delicious and absolutely no problem. Guest guest
ee, Kids creating havoc in the doctor's office. Love it. Some days I get to thinking my angels are the only ones that came without wings and halos. I just love taking lots of kids to the doctor. Trying to discuss the situtation with kids spinning on the stool and opening drawers (and bandaids) and washing their hands in the little sink. And you have to remember all the questions you wanted to ask, the ones that were supposed to be nicely written down. What happened to them? They either didn't make it onto paper, got left at home because somebody lost a shoe at the last minute, were found by the two year old and colored on, got eaten by the baby. And all the while you wonder when the doctor is going to politely ask you to never come again. Then you have to watch the fish in the waiting room for a while (because you are trying to be a good mother and good mother's are patient right?). And ride the elevator can't forget that. Then you get to drive the long way home and listen to 60 silly songs to sing in the car just to keep them happy. Don't forget stopping at every exit to put a child back in their car seat and wonder why you forgot the safety pins and duct tape. And then threaten the ones that keep touching each other that they will walk home even if it takes them the rest of their lives. Just love leaving the house. For all of those who are now horrified that I admitted to this and will now call the child welfare office, please do, then maybe I will get my laundry caught up. Actually, Poof, you just forgot what I wrote. My kids would never do any of those things. And I never get embarrased when I got into public. And something I typed above is actually true. ? Glacier, You being our resident expert on all things club foot techincal, I wanted to ask you a question. Recently in Iowa City, Dr. Diezt looked at 's feet (he performed teh ATTT on about 5 years ago). It was all rather chaotic at the moment, I had two boys getting examined at once by two different doctors in two different rooms so it was confusing - but the thing is Diezt was asking me how does in school, and it wasn't just a passing casual conversation question - he was referring to being highly hyper in some context related to his feet.... and because is so hyper and his toddler brother and he were on the verge of wrecking havoc in the hall and exam rooms (ugh, embarassing! are we allowed to beat our children in Posneti's clinic? haha ) I did not get to follow up wiht Dietz how hyper activity and club feet connect. Any clue? Thanks, ee

Guest guest
Have I mentioned I'm only having one child? When my friend was in town with her boy and girl (age 2 1/2 and 5), my husband said taking them in public was akin to being a part of the secret service and guarding the President. You have to watch every move, can't follow too closely or they will get mad, and everything represents a possible threat. We brought them to Camp Snoopy at the Mall of America, and , my friend's 2 1/2 year old, loves to throw tantrums in public. She is extremely melodramatic and throws herself on the floor, screaming and kicking. It was hilarious! I told my friend her daughter is remarkably like me when I don't get my way! > This was a joke so please don't take it seriously. > > ? > > > Glacier, > > You being our resident expert on all things club foot techincal, I wanted to ask you a question. Guest guest
Well, in 's defense (ha!) - Dr. Dietz should never have asked him to run up and down the hall to show off his feet! LOL! My son is like a gyroscope (sp?), once it's put in to motion there is just no stopping it short of a nuclear melt down. But yes, the secret service comparison is rather accurate! Throwing herself on the ground kicking and screaming? Oh oh oh.... we won't even go there on this forum!!!! No, no, noooooooo. Hyper active I'll excuse and to some extent justify in a child, but that? Wowzer! s. From: kannhoudek To: nosurgery4clubfoot Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 12:48 PM Subject: Re: ? Guest guest
My friend Amy deals with it perfectly. She picks up and leaves. Then 's older brother Sam gets really mad at , and since seh really looks up to him, it usually works. She's a very bright little girl, and explains whenever she can why she's right and you are wrong. I think she's a devil child, but I respect her tenacity! > > This was a joke so please don't take it seriously. > > > > ? > > > > > > Glacier, > > > > You being our resident expert on all things club foot > techincal, I wanted to ask you a question. Guest guest
ee, I have never heard any doctor mention a correlation between hyperactivity and clubfoot. My assumption is that they would each occur independant of the other. I do know that Dr. Dietz has for years been studying all sorts of things regarding clubfoot. That includes genetics, long term outcomes, when's and why's, etc. > Glacier, > > You being our resident expert on all things club foot techincal, I wanted to ask you a question.
