Guest guest
Well, everyone...Have to let you know about some good news. I have posted a few times about my complications with bleeding in the first trimester. Well, I found out today that I was given some misinformation by one of my physicians...Misinformation that had me worried about placental insufficiency, abruption and prem labor NEEDLESSLY... Went to see the geneticist today to discuss what if anything we should be doing further to the nuchal lucency u/s. I already knew that the nuchal's values were normal...Well, he was awesome (I knew him from Children's too)...He not only told me that my risks of having a baby with genetic defects were 1/3000 based on the u/s, he also told me that they haven't done routine triple screens in a couple of yrs as the nuchals are so accurate. He advised against the amnio which is awesome because I would have only had it if very needed... The most wonderful thing he did for us was to explain EXACTLY what the subchorionic bleed was, and to reassure us that I am NOT at risk for what I was told I was at risk for...Furthermore, he said that I could do whatever I wanted for excercise, including returning to my step aerobics class!!! That totally made my day, because I have been feeling like a fat blob lately and really need to get moving...and walking is boring to me right now... Just thought I would pass on my news! Have a great weekend, EDC Nov
