Guest guest
It's good to hear that Aidan is home and all is well again. Mommy to (12-17-98) and Christian (1-30-04) LCF - DBB (nights only) We're home and all recovering / Curling toes Hi all, Thank you so much for asking about Aidan. As you know he had to get a shunt for his hydrocephalus about a month ago. Well 2 wks later he got an infection and we were back in the hospital for almost 3 weeks so the antibiotics could work they're magic. About 6 days we got home he got a stomach virus and threw up and had diarriah. Of course my worst fears was another infection and we'd have to go back to the hospital. Thank God that wasn't the case. We all shared his pain though because the entire family got the virus. UGH.. He's doing great and we hope to maintain that course, no more infections I pray... Even after all he's been through he still continues to have just the most infectious spirit. Always full of smiles and talking and laughing - he has alot to say for a 7mo old. He had all the doctors and nurses wrapped around his finger. We had nurses stopping by to see him and play with him that hadn't even cared for him - I guess news spreads. It's not often you get a child in the PICU who's laughing! :-) I've not had a chance to read everyones emails but alot has been going on I see. Kori, I'm so sorry to hear about Merek but thank God he's doing well. At therapy today, his therapist noticed his toes curl down a little because they hang off the end of his shoes and its natural to turn the toes down to fit around the shoes. He's getting new ones soon, end of our 3 months - YAHOO. In the mean time she said to mesage the toes up while feeding him and his hour out. I just wanted to throw that in as I've read before about curling toe issues. So start rubbing those toesies upwards. & Aidan --------------------------------- Celebrate Yahoo!'s 10th Birthday! Yahoo! Guest guest
Jen- I'm so glad Aidan is doing well. I was thinking about him after you posted that he had the shunt infection, but I figured you'd let us know what was happening when you got a chance. Sounds like you've had a rough few weeks. Hope everything gets better now! , mommy of: Guinevere, on, Ava 8/4/04 RCF DBB 16-18/7 > Hi all, > > Thank you so much for asking about Aidan.
