Guest guest Posted March 10, 2005 Report Share Posted March 10, 2005 I just got back from Aleksander's appointment today, and he will be in casts until March 29th to let his feet heel. He still had a pretty good sized red area on each of his heels and the doctor didn't want that to get worse. Everyone is very puzzled about why he was having so many problems with the shoes, although the doctor thought it may be due to my sons very skinny feet. He's a very lean baby, and his feet are long and skinny just like the rest of him. The doctor did say that his feet are in excellent shape otherwise, and that he has excellent rotation. I'm very pleased with how everything looks, and am very happy that Aleksander will have more time to heal before getting back in the shoes. His heels looked very tender still. Thank you again to everyone who wrote back previously with all of the very helpful information. It is really nice to know that there are resources out there, and to connect with other parents who have experience dealing with some of the same problems we're having. Although CF is 'easy' to deal with, it is still sometimes frustrating when you are out in public and people stare at either the casts or the DDB, but never approach to ask about it. -- Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
