for High-Risk Racial/Ethnic Minority Subpopulations

CDC’s Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Capacity Building Branch, announces the availability of funds for organizations applying for Program Announcement #05051: Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) to Improve the Delivery and Effectiveness of HIV Prevention Interventions for High-Risk Racial/Ethnic Minority Subpopulations. This program announcement will provide financial assistance to nonprofit 501©3 organizations to deliver CBA nationally.

The program focus is to adapt, tailor and implement science-based, behavioral HIV prevention interventions specifically targeting high-risk racial/ethnic minority subpopulations. For this announcement, minority subpopulations are specifically limited to migrant workers, transgender individuals, and youth in non-school settings, including lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Eligibility is limited to organizations that have at least three years experience providing CBA to community-based organizations, health departments, and other HIV prevention stakeholders that address the HIV prevention needs of high-risk racial/ethnic minority subpopulations.
